My Life As A Princess

Okay, I'm not really a princess but it's definitely a close call. This blog is a product of love. Everybody should know about the cool things in life and sometimes also about the not-so-cool.

Some Pseudo Italian Food + Fun

Sandra turned 40 and in what could only be descibed as an attempt to eat, catch-up on things, celebrate a birthday and have some fun, everybody got together at Buca Di Beppo Restaurant in Pasadena turning a quiet summer night into a loud frenzy of voices and happy birthdays at the over-crowded establishment.

The food is nothing to be impressed by but good for coming from a chain restaurant. They claim to serve "Authentic Italian Food" but it's far from being authentic, yet savory and plentiful. The family servings allow for everyone to interact and try different things so that's very nice plus, the place is decorative with a million plus italian memorabilia items and having dinner there is definitely an experience.

L'effleur Des Sens - Made Me Feel Hot & Bothered

"An exceptional cabaret show brimming with the mystery and beauty of french cabaret.
Leffleur des Sens caresses the senses, arouses the imagination and reinvents the stage as foreplay to whatever happens behind closed doors. Cati Jean, French director & choreographer of Leffleur des Sens, brings you a visual seduction unparalleled and unmatched by any other show. Eight professional, trained dancers perform a variety show diverse in form, music and mood. Cati, inspired by the French variety cabaret, combines beauty, strength, and mystery to create a powerful story on stage."

-LA NightLife

"It's hard not to appreciate a show that uses mounting orgasmic moans as a source of tempo and rhythm. With seven magnificently titillating and scantily clad dancers, L'effleur des Sens reveal a playfully erotic and surprisingly fresh French cabaret. Choreographer Jean Cati offers enough sensuality to tease the voyeuristic soul, but manages to keep the ambience cool and casual with tongue-in-cheek humor. The afterparty kicks in around midnight, and the dance floor opens with world-beat music spinning late into the evening."

-FlavorPill LA

Need I say more? I arrived to the show burning with anticipation (I love to see beautiful women), throughout the show I did my best to take mental notes on the sensual movements, at the end of the show, I ran home with a smirk on my face! Fantastic!

L'effleur Des Sens, go see it!

Taco Tuesdays - A Buck & A Smile!

I discovered Los Gringos Locos a while ago, but I barely discovered Taco Tuesdays a couple of weeks back. They made up a quote that says: "I can't imagine Tuesdays without Los Gringos Locos" and it kind of makes sense. Taco Tuesdays features $1 Tacos filled with fresh ingredients like chicken or steak, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa; so whether you're eating in or picking it up to take home, you'll lick your fingers and eat every bit. The tacos are restaurant-size tacos: Big and fulfilling!

If you're planning to eat in, the place is very casual and you should expect to find families and teens gathered up to feast on the delicious Gringos Locos food. If you're more of the I-only-like-quiet-and-grown-ups type, this is not the place for you.

The food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients; in the menu, you'll find dishes created by their own recipes and the traditional stuff too. They make a killer guacamole right before your eyes at your table and the margaritas are huge, savory with citrus flavors and strong: Just the way I like'em!

Enjoy!

Little Women, Great Play!

I was given the wonderful opportunity (thanks to Daria) to see Little Women at The Pantages Theatre on Friday. L and I entered the theatre expecting the traditional Little Women played as usual and found an energetic performance with a very talented cast and a new meaning to this timeless classic. I loved every minute of it. Jo's character made me cry, laugh and gasp with amusement and although the vocals weren't as strong as usually expected for a musical, the play as a whole was enjoyable, strong and engaging. Another thing was the set, I loved the way it changed around from scene to scene; it was very thoughtful and cute, it moved around (literally) and complimented the play in the most perfect of ways. Definitely 4 thumbs up!

(Wait, I only have 2 thumbs... Oh well).
