Nakkara on Beverly announced their Grand Opening about a month ago! There’s a new flavor in town, and that is the flavor of Thai food on Beverly Boulevard.

Nakkara on Beverly serves up Thai inspired cuisine in a dimly-lit locale with Asian accents and cozy surroundings. The establishment is suited for groups as well as couples but the true beauty takes place when the food is presented to you. Flawless presentation and balanced portions carry exquisite flavors achieved by the mix of fresh ingredients (purchased from farmer markets daily) and authentic imports in a skillful manner.

The menu features an ample selection of appetizers, categorized by cooking method, following that, there’s plenty to choose from in regards to noodles, salads and entrees. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, there to make your experience great. Their seafood creations are delightful and master a suitable level for spices and their delivery. There’s pretty much something for every palate.

2 Plays, No Food

I've been away from my blog because I've been consumed in work and I had a cold. Therefore, I haven't been in many wonderful outings as of late. But here's what I've got,

Virgin Love

Where do I start with this one? The costumes were very nice, as well as the set, unfortunately though, the play itself was tacky and although it had a lot going on, there wasn't much of a story to tell. I was pretty disappointed because I had heard good comments about the productions put together by the Ricardo Montalbán Repertory Company but this was mediocre.

The History Boys

This was simply fantastic. It's the story of some guys in high school, getting ready to enter the college life and it paints a perfect picture describing their anxieties, hopes and the fun that goes on during the care-free times lived as a senior. The cast is wonderful, each character plays an essential role to the plot and each piece stand by itself without overshadowing the rest of the crew.

I had a blast with this one!
